As a surgeon and healthcare practitioner, Dr. Bennett Fontenot has helped me to understand how, through no fault of my own, I've had a health condition called Dupuytren's contracture. It affects the two fingers of my left hand. My ring and little finger — the former which is your personal relationship finger and the latter which is your social relations finger ("pinkies up!”) as well as being the very finger a small child will grab to hold your hand! Those two fingers alone have had a tendency to start to curl (contract) and pull inwards towards the palm. Examples of this condition can be seen in the statues of French sculptor Auguste Rodin (Guillaume Duprytren was a surgeon in Napolean Bonaparte's army) and, more contemporarily, in the hands of British actor Bill Nighy in the movie “Living" where he has what fans describe as his "spooky handshake," which is in keeping with his mature years. Mainly heredity, it typically just comes with the number of years you've been living on this planet. The only real "cure" is surgery, and Dr. Bennett Fontenot performed surgery on both my fingers two separate times with great result! I'm ten-finger typing now without discomfort and almost back to work where I work with cameras and lenses (glass!) Kudos and props to Dr. Fontenot and his staff — Lyndsey, Mallory, Ashley, and Kayley!
After having 3 back surgeries, I needed to have plastic surgery to make my back look halfway normal again. I had heard great things of Dr. Fontenot and to say that this surgery has exceeded my expectations is an understatement! I cannot thank him and his wonderful staff enough for what they have done to my back and my self confidence and would recommend him to anyone!
I can not rave enough about Dr. Fontenot and his office. He is very understanding, thorough, and knowledgeable. His work is beyond excellent. His nurses are so sweet and care about you as a person. If I needed anything before or after my mommy makeover, they were there. If you are looking for a new you, definitely choose Dr. Fontenot!
