Dr. Mary “Misty” Ghere is a proud native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who enjoys devoting her life to the art and science of plastic surgery. As a highly accomplished and compassionate female board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Ghere considers it a tremendous privilege to serve her patients’ cosmetic needs—from head to toe—in Denham Springs and Baton Rouge—the city she loves!

A former collegiate golfer with a degree in studio art, Dr. Ghere graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed her general surgery training there. She continued her training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she performed both her plastic surgery residency and a one-year fellowship in hand surgery.
Upon completing her specialty training, Dr. Ghere was delighted to return to Baton Rouge, where she established a private plastic surgery practice before joining the team at Weiler Plastic Surgery.

After an early stint playing golf and studying art at Tulane University, Dr. Ghere shifted her focus to the pursuit of medicine and plastic surgery. As the daughter of physicians dedicated to breast cancer treatment and support, the idea of compassionately caring for the “whole” patient was instilled early on. This philosophy continues to underscore her treatment approach. Dr. Ghere is thrilled to serve patients' cosmetic needs in her hometown of Baton Rouge, where she lives with her husband, Brian, a veterinarian, and their 5 children, Aubrey, Rhett, Callie, Josie, and Emsley.

I was blown away at my first experience with Dr. Mary Ghere! First of all the place was beautiful, and so serene! The staff was so welcoming and friendly.
Dr. Ghere really took her time to analyze my face and explain to me all the science behind it as we age, but in a way I understood. She was honest in what is not needed at this time and I really respect that. She wants natural results, but to also make you feel your best! Dr. Ghere and her staff are amazing. They are attentive, kind and accommodating. We drive over an hour to see Dr. Ghere and her staff and I will continue to drive over an hour to be her patient. She performed my reconstruction post double mastectomy. She worked with my mastologist/oncologist and coordinated surgeries, appointments and insurance. She provided me with multiple options for reconstruction. She gave me all the pros and cons of each procedure. I felt confident in my decision. My results are amazing. She gave me back a part of my body that the cancer took.
Dr. Ghere and her staff also performed my mother’s reconstruction post double mastectomy. They were very happy with the results.

The best recovery in terms of scarring I have ever experienced. You can hardly tell anything was done. The recover itself was long but that is to be expected based on a tummy tuck, breast work, and liposuction. Dr. Ghere and Corey were easy to work with especially when my primary care physician threw a monkey wrench the day before surgery. But everything went off without a hitch. I do not regret it at all and I have never felt better.
