Virtual Consultations

Weiler Plastic Surgery attracts patients from the Baton Rouge area, across the U.S., and around the world for our world-class care, renowned plastic surgeons, and exceptional results. We offer virtual consultations for people who want an alternative to visiting multiple times in person or those who are simply more comfortable meeting from the privacy of their homes. 

How It Works 

We use a HIPAA-compliant online platform called Klara for virtual consultations and communication with our consultants and plastic surgeons. Klara allows us to have video appointments, share screens, exchange messages and images, complete paperwork, and more.  

No special equipment is needed; you can use a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera that supports video conferencing.  

How Do I Schedule a Virtual Consultation? 

Scheduling a virtual appointment is as easy as scheduling an in-person consult. Here’s how it works: 

  1. Request your consultation using our online form and select the “virtual consultation” option. You can also call our office at (225) 399-0001 to schedule. 
  1. Our office will create a secure Klara account for you in our patient portal and send you an email with the information you will need to get started. 
  1. Log into your Klara account, complete the necessary forms, and submit them through the secure Klara portal. 
  1. Once your forms are received, a member of our team will contact you to schedule your video consultation and collect payment information if applicable. If we need you to send us photos in advance, we will give you details about the best lighting and angles and email you examples. 
  1. You will receive an email link that will let you securely connect with our team at the scheduled time.

How To Prepare 

Before your appointment time: 

  • Write down your cosmetic concerns and the improvements you’d like to attain. 
  • Make a list of questions and concerns you want to discuss. 
  • Check that your internet, microphone, and camera are working.
  • Go to a quiet, well-lit room that allows enough privacy to talk openly and disrobe if necessary. 

What Happens After My Virtual Consultation? 

After your virtual consultation, your provider will make treatment recommendations. One of our consultants will send you a price quote, talk with you about scheduling if you are interested in moving forward, and discuss any travel support you may need.
