When comparing the cost of BOTOX at different plastic surgery or med spa practices in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, or Lafayette, it’s important to know that you’re comparing apples to apples. The same is true when comparing the price of BOTOX to alternatives, such as Dysport and other products.
At Weiler Plastic Surgery Group, we charge per unit for BOTOX treatments, unlike some practices, which set prices for specific treatment areas. The benefit of paying per unit for BOTOX is that you’ll pay for only what you need. When you’re charged per area, you may not need as much BOTOX to get the desired results as another patient.

What Determines the Price of BOTOX Treatments?
The cost of BOTOX—and alternatives like Dysport, DAXXIFY®, Jeuveau®, and XEOMIN®—depends on several factors. These include the location of the practice (people in Los Angeles pay more for BOTOX than you will in Louisiana), the training and experience of the injector, and the size of your treatment area. Additionally, some patients need fewer units to accomplish their goals than others.
The cost of BOTOX at Weiler Plastic Surgery Group is $14 per unit. The number of units needed for specific treatment areas varies. For example, treating crow’s feet requires about 5 to 15 units per eye, and vertical frown lines between the eyes can take up to about 25 units.
We price BOTOX alternatives by the unit, too.
- Dysport costs $4.75 per unit.
- DAXXIFY cost is available by calling the practice.
- Jeuveau costs $14 per unit.
- Xeomin costs $14 per unit.
Although Dysport appears much less expensive than other neurotoxins, you’ll need more units to achieve the desired results.
Beware of Bargain Shopping for BOTOX
We understand that cost is a factor when choosing a BOTOX injector, but bargain shopping for the cheapest injector isn’t a good idea. You should choose a board-certified plastic surgeon or a medical spa facility operated by a board-certified plastic surgeon.
If the price seems too good to be true, that can be a red flag. The FDA recently warned the public about unsafe counterfeit BOTOX being used in multiple states. Some of these counterfeit BOTOX injections led to adverse events. You can always ask to see the product labeling before getting injections.
