Welcome Back! We’re Reopening May 15th

Dr. Weiler and our entire team are excited and thankful to resume seeing patients on Friday, May 15th, coinciding with Gov. Edwards’ lifting of Louisiana’s shelter-at-home order. We hope this message finds you and your family healthy. We are reopening responsibly, with extra safety precautions in place that follow CDC guidelines to help protect the health of both patients and staff.  

We’re offering all surgical and nonsurgical procedures and treatments at all 4 of our locations, where we have adopted appropriate social distancing measures and numerous additional safeguards. 

Safer Than Ever

For your peace of mind, we want to let you know the additional safety precautions our staff is taking: 

• Taking and documenting employees’ temperatures when they arrive at the office 
• Wearing face masks at all times 
• Limiting exposure to crowds outside of work 
• Sterilizing all rooms between patients
• Injectors will wear face shields and masks during treatments, along with gloves as usual 

These extra steps are on top of the extremely high safety standards Weiler Plastic Surgery has always maintained.  

What’s Different

During this initial phase of reopening, we’re asking our patients to follow new guidelines to maximize safety at appointments. We greatly appreciate your compliance. 

When a member of our staff calls to confirm an appointment, you’ll be notified of the following appointment protocols: 

• Be prompt 
• Wear a face mask 
• Patients having a nonsurgical treatment should come to the appointment alone; surgical patients can have 1 person accompany them 
• Remain 6 feet from other patients (we’ve placed markings on the floor where checkout occurs) and avoid congregating in the lobby 
• Anyone who’s been exposed to a person with COVID-19, or who has a fever, cough, or sore throat should reschedule the appointment 

In addition to the appointment confirmation call, an OR nurse will call 7 days prior to a scheduled surgery to screen patients for COVID-19. Also, one of our nurses will follow up with all patients 7 days after their appointments. We will follow CDC guidelines to address patients or staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19 or to rule out being positive to ensure they have fully recovered before rescheduling an appointment or returning to work.

What will never change is the dedication of each member of our team to provide the highest quality of care and exceptional results that women and men expect at Weiler Plastic Surgery. During this time we continue to offer our full line of services. For patients who may feel more comfortable limiting the number of visits to our practice, you can schedule a virtual consultation and meet with Dr. Weiler without leaving home.  

All of our locations are observing regular business hours: 

Baton Rouge: Mon—Thur: 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m., Fri: 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m. 

Baton Rouge Downtown: Mon—Thur: 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m., Fri: 8:00 a.m.–3p.m 

Hammond: Mon—Thur: 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., Fri: 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. 

Denham Springs: Mon—Thur: 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., Fri: 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
