Education & Training 

Educated at Loyola University with cum laude honors, Dr. Womac’s academic excellence granted him early acceptance to the prestigious Tulane School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2007. Following this, he completed a comprehensive general surgery internship and residency at the esteemed Medical University of South Carolina.

Returning to his hometown of New Orleans in 2013, Dr. Womac pursued a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Louisiana State University. Honing his expertise in microsurgical reconstruction and aesthetics under the direction of the region’s most sought-after pioneers in autologous breast reconstruction makes his skills genuinely exceptional.

Contributions to the Field

As an Assistant Professor of Surgery at LSU since 2016, Dr. Womac shares his enthusiasm for plastic surgery with the next generation of surgeons, emphasizing the significance of personalized care he provides to his patients.

In addition to his academic contributions, he has been dedicated to his private practice, ensuring his patients receive unparalleled personal attention and remarkable surgical outcomes. Although my reason for visiting Dr. Womac was stressful, I was delighted to find the staff to be VERY WELCOMING and SUPPORTIVE. Dr. Womac is AWESOME!!! He has a calming bedside manner that eased all of my tension and anxiety. I felt confident in his care and am quite SATISFIED with the end result!!!!!

I am ABSOLUTELY happy with my results from Dr. Womac!!! Everyone in both offices , Metairie and Baton Rouge, were EXTREMELY professional and welcoming. Only thing is , I wish I went a little bigger 😂 definitely would choose Dr. Womac for any other surgeries in the future.

From my very first meeting with Dr. Womac, I knew I was choosing him. He was very thorough with the consultation & answered all my questions. He made sure both myself & my husband were very educated on the procedure & the after care. We both cannot recommend him enough. My breast augmentation went wonderful, & my results are exactly what I wanted! So natural! 10/10 recommend!!

As someone with a higher BMI, I was under the impression that no cosmetic surgeon would be willing to operate because of risks associated with my weight. However, Dr. Womac took me on and performed my sub-mental liposuction beautifully. Scars are practically invisible. I went from having that “turkey neck” of someone decades older than me to a more youthful, rounded face that suits a plus size woman in her 20’s. Staff are bright and caring, all appointments were quick and stress-free.
