Education & Training 

Educated at Loyola University with cum laude honors, Dr. Womac’s academic excellence granted him early acceptance to the prestigious Tulane School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2007. Following this, he completed a comprehensive general surgery internship and residency at the esteemed Medical University of South Carolina.

Returning to his hometown of New Orleans in 2013, Dr. Womac pursued a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Louisiana State University. Honing his expertise in microsurgical reconstruction and aesthetics under the direction of the region’s most sought-after pioneers in autologous breast reconstruction makes his skills genuinely exceptional.

Contributions to the Field

As an Assistant Professor of Surgery at LSU since 2016, Dr. Womac shares his enthusiasm for plastic surgery with the next generation of surgeons, emphasizing the significance of personalized care he provides to his patients.

In addition to his academic contributions, he has been dedicated to his private practice, ensuring his patients receive unparalleled personal attention and remarkable surgical outcomes. I am so glad I chose Dr Womac as my surgeon! I came in for a breast augmentation after having 2 kids. Throughout the whole process Dr Womac showed such amazing bed side manner and was so knowledgable about options and helping me achieve the exact results I wanted. I’m 6 weeks post op and I could not be happier with my breast augmentation they are exactly what I wanted and more. So thankful to Dr Womac and his amazing team!

His staff was amazing throughout the entire process. I was very hesitant about getting a breast augmentation in New Orleans but I’m glad I did. I can not say enough nice things about Dr. Womac and his staff at Weiler Plastic Surgery. From the moment I set a consultation until today (my last post-op visit), I've been really impressed with everyone I've come into contact with there. They are kind, caring, educated, and thorough. They are also ALWAYS on time (which isn't heard of much anymore), which I appreciate because I value my time as well. Dr. Womac is clearly very knowledgeable and has awesome bedside manners. His nurse, Alison, is so helpful and always follows up if she can't answer something on the spot. I could always get a hold of her if I had questions of any kind. The front desk staff at the Metarie clinic is top notch, too. Seriously, I'm so thankful for this team! I highly recommend to anyone looking for cosmetic surgery.
